Hi folks! This month’s theme is food and the post is a quick one, opposed to the bolognese recipe presented, which can take hours to get ready depending on how it’s done.

As base I use a recipe from Rita Lobo. It’s been a while since I read the original recipe, so I wouldn’t be surprised myself to find out that I do some things differently.

I started with everything set up and the butter melting:

Next, I sauteed the onions. Here, I was surprised to find a purple onion disguised as a regular one and only found it out when chopping it:

I added some chopped bacon to add a taste, something I don’t usually do:

Next, I added the carrot, the celery, and sauteed it all:

Having the vegetables slightly cooked, I added the rockstar, the minced meat. I fried it until it got brown:

Added milk and cooked until it started to dry:

Added wine and cooked until it started to dry:

The next ones were the peeled tomatoes:

I added about a liter of water little by little, cooking in low heat, until it was very well cooked:

And to wrap it up, served with pasta:

So, got your mouth watering or a knot in the stomach?
