This month’s theme is Natália and the Melodica, even if only half of the essay is about the Melodica. It was a spontaneous session, without a lot of grooming and with an LED bar that does’t have a diffuser, thus you can notice sharp shades. I ended up not doing much exploration and only one of the clicks has an obvious play with the light.

The photos were taken with the Nikon D3300 and the lens Nikkor AF-P 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G DX VR.

The Funniest

Natália thoughtful

I don’t know why, but this is the photo that captivated me. Maybe because it’s so spontaneous. I also liked the slightly out-of-focus hand in the foreground.

Light Play

Natália in the shades

This was the only photo in the essay that got a light play, this is why I’m highlighting it right at the beginning. Even if I think the execution was poor and I didn’t even set the background - you can see a box, tripod, phone, etc. here is a reminder that I have a long way ahead.

Thoughtful

Laughing out loud

This last one is a duality thing. I liked the idea, covering the smile with the hand, tattoo showing. But I am not sure if I like the photo by itself, I think the glare from the light source was a bit too heavy on the cheek and above the eyebrow.

The End

Natália sweetie

To wrap it up, here is a simple face, excessive brigthness and reflex on the glass.
