This time, a single piece of work will be presented, all pictures taken with the camera on automatic mode. Today, I present a stopmotion!
I did it all without researching for too long on the internet, even examples. This is a weak spot because I could have done something more interesting if I had done my homework. I still think it ended up nicely.
Here are some production aspects:
- The middle light is meant to provide a night mood to the scene.
- The camera was static, but I want to do some tests in the future with a moving camera.
- 85 photos were taken in total, all with the Galaxy S10e.
- I used a small webcam tripod, one of those from a webcam like a Logitech C920.
- The trigger to remotely shoot the pictures was the AirDroid app, that already saves the pictures directly on the computer.
- The program used to join all the pictures was Kdenlive, just because I already know how to do things with it. There may be dedicated apps to stopmotion and several other software I could have used.
- The bizarre soundtrack is a courtesy of Natália.
- The total work time was about 2 hours:
- 20 minutes to prepare the scene.
- 15 minutes learning how to take a shot remotely and, finally, choosing AirDroid
- 60 minutes taking the pictures.
- 20 minutes editing the video.
Stopmotion
Although it is fun to make the stopmotion, it is a lot of work and therefore you need to be pacient and in a good mood. And I only made a very short video, so I can imagine how arduous it is to make something more complex.
