Or would it be aromas list (translator note: in Portuguese blackberry = amora and aroma = aroma, thus the word play in the original content)? Maybe spices or even other wild berries. Maybe we never know. By myself, I am sure: I can’t give up my blackberry.

It is a rooted, savage fruit, one of those you reap straight from the bush - or the tree in this analogy, so it’s easier to romanticize the reap being an adventure. Dangerous climb to the top, as there is no other place for her by the highest place in the podium - or leafs, in this case. The top of the tallest mullberry (tree?).

Mature, this fruit conquered me with its aroma - it even resembles cumaru - and with its slight essence. I say it because in this mix there is also the sour to balance the daily sweetness, avoiding boringness.

What is left to me? Nothing but wait for this amora to see me as fruit of the same botanical family, for one day we may build - or even better, plant - our own tree, bringing life and love to this vast field we live in. And to finish, here is my blackberry list:

  • Wild black blackberry, from the tree, sensible rind and firm pulp, surrounded with friends and protected from predators, sweet with a small sourness, just like sour candy.
